I have been to Specific Training International enquiring about a training course on Automation. Thay assured me a MNC job at my preferred location on completion of the training. What is your placement policy?

A.

We are not a placement agency nor we are in the business of creating jobs. We are here to transform fresh engineers to Industry Ready Automation Professional engineers through our advanced category courses. We ensure that participants going through those courses become Industry ready.
Placement assistance is extended to the successful candidates participants of advanced courses, on completion of the courses by referring them to the potential employers who are looking for trained automation engineers.

Q.

Just received a whatsapp comparing your QAP course with Course offer by Specific Training House. They are offering a three month course covering 6 brands of PLC, 2 brands of SCADA, 2 brands of HMI, 2 brands of Drives, DCS, Instrumentation & Electrical Relay Logic and Embeded Technology. My friend said with good negociation, they offer the course at Rs.21,500/- Why should I join QAP and not enroll myself for the course with Specific Traing Co.

QAP (Course Code IA 05) is not one of those appriciation courses on PLC & Automation. QAP is so designed that a fresh engineer going through the course will be transformed to Industry Ready Automation Professional. In oder to so, the course is thoughtfully designed to ensure that the participants get indepth exposure on the devices and gets involved in the process of all phases of a implementation of a process automation project. It takes execution of three projects for the participants so that grow sufficient confidence.
The 400 hours of duration of QAP is very thoughtfully planned to address the essential areas to make the participants Industry Ready. You need to pay the course fees of a 400 hrs course to attend a 400 hrs duration course. We do not negociate on course fees. In case it is inconvenient for you to make full payment at the time of admission, please approach the institute for considering payment in installments.

I am a chemical Engineer. How will the courses help me?

Automation is directly related to the Electrical, Electronics and Control & Instrumentation streams of engineering. However, today automation has become an integral part of the process industries. Almost all industries have to use automation, if they have to compete in the global market. So, it is essential to all professionals to have practical knowledge about the automation hardware & software.

Q.

I don’t have any idea in Industrial Automation. Will I be able to cope up with the training?

Yes it is possible to complete the training successfully even if you are not having any previous exposure on Industrial Automation. In all the courses conducted, the contents starts from basics, assuming that the candidate do not have any knowledge in Industrial Automation.

What will be the gain of the trainee after completion of the course?

A.

You will be enriched with the latest technical knowledge related with the industrial automation. You will be in a position to design and commission an automation system. This will add to your confidence while facing an interview & improves the change of getting selected.

Q.

Can I join courses listed under Vocational Training?

A.

The courses covered under Vocational Training are meant for students. You can attend the courses only if you are a degree or diploma engineering student.

Q.

Can I join Advanced Composite Plan II course? Presently, I am persuing my final year engineering Course.

A.

You need to complete 50 modules of 4 hours each, within a time span of 3 months, to complete Advanced Composite Plan II course. You can attend the course, as long as you can spare the required time within a span of 3 months. There are students of final year who are attending similar courses.
We have a flexible timing system for advanced courses, where you can fix the schedule of the next class with your instructor, at the end of each mode.

Q.

Do I have to pay the course fee in full amount at the time of admission?

A.

Yes. However, for advanced courses, the candidates may approach the institute for allowing payment in installment, if one time payment becomes inconvenient for the candidate.

Q.

When is the Qualified Automaton Professional course commencing? What is the last date for taking admission in that course?

A.

All the advanced courses are individually cared program. Hence the admission & progress of class are managed on individual basis, round the year. You may join on any working day and your class begins from the next day.

Q.

Do you arrange for a job on completion of training?

A.

We do not arrange jobs for the candidates. However, we do extend job assistance to the candidates enrolled in advanced courses. We being in the field of training in Control & Automation for last fifteen years, the potential employers do get in touch with us from time to time, whenever they require trained manpower in Control & Automation. The name of candidates whose placement are due, are forwarded for their consideration.

Q.

In the courses you are conducting, how many persons are you clustering in a group for practical training?

A.

Excepting courses mentioned under Vocational Training, all courses are individually cared. In individually cared programmes, the candidates are allotted resources (both hardware & software) on individual basis. In the courses conducted under vocational training program, groups of two students are formed for carrying out practical works.

Q.

Do you conduct any course on AutoCad for Civil Engineers?

A.

The course presently conducted on AutoCad is specially designed to cater the need of Electrical & Instrumentation engineers only.

Q.

I have already attended the training course on Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & AC Drives. Now I intend to join Qualified Automation Professional course. Do I have to attend all 100 modules once again?

A.

If you are confident that learning of Mitsubishi PLC, HMI & AC Drives was complete and you do not require any refresher on the same, you may request for waiver of the modules which you have already covered. The institute will conduct an interview to assess the status, and will offer waiver on the merit of the candidate.

Q.

I want to attend Advanced PLC Program. I need accommodation during the period of training as I will be travelling from Trichy. Do you have hostels for course participants from outstation?

A.

The institute does not maintain hostel accommodation of their own. However, paying guest accommodations are available in the neighborhood of the institute and the outstation participants do avail the facility to stay while attending the courses.

Q.

I want to attend Enhanced Program. I am an outstation candidate. Do you have any arrangement for the students availing your canteen facility?

A.

We do not have any canteen facility for the students.

Q.

I am attending Advanced Composite Plan II for last two months. Now I realise that Qualified Automation Professional is the most comprehensive course to attend. It is possible to migrate from Advanced Composite Plan II to Qualified Automation Professional now?

A.

Upgradation to more advanced course is possible only when you are still attending some course. It can be done by paying the differential of the course fee.

Q.

Presently I am working in an industry. Is it possible to attend the Advanced Composite Plan II on part time basis?

A.

All the advanced courses are individually cared programs with flexible timing to accommodate the need of working professionals. The courses are structured in modules of 4 hour duration. The institute remains open from 10AM to 8 PM from Mondays to Saturdays and from 10AM to 4 PM on Sundays. You can plan your schedule to suit your routine.

Q.

I wish to join the Advanced Composite Course (Plan II) on Industrial Automation. On completion of the course, will the certificate of completion be issued by your institute only?

A.

The participants of all courses have to appear for evaluation tests during and on completion of the course. IIATCA issues completion certificates to all the successful candidates.
In case of the advanced courses of duration of three months or more, the candidates securing more than 60% are interviewed by a panel of certifying authority of ISA - Kolkata Section. Completion certificates to the successful candidates are issued jointly by ISA – Kolkata Section & IIATCA.
In addition, for certain courses on Mitsubishi make PLC, the completion certificate issued jointly by Mitsubishi & IIATCA, for the candidates securing more than 60% marks in the evaluation test.
